“As ye sow, so shall ye reap…”
A few days ago, while searching online for something completely different, I came upon a video called “The Strangest Secret In The World”, by a man named Earl Nightingale. I didn’t know who he was, but the title was intriguing enough for me to give it a listen.
Although the original recording was made over 50 years ago, it’s quite possibly one of the most practical, down to earth, utilitarian, motivational pieces I’ve heard in quite some time. Maybe it’s because the piece reiterates for me the concept that no matter what race, gender or position in life, humankind’s sole, indisputable motivational factor boils down to just one incredible practice…
Curious? Well, take a listen.
Earl Nightingale was an American motivational speaker and author, known as the “Dean of Personal Development.” He was the voice in the early 1950s of Sky King, the hero of a radio adventure series, and was a WGN radio show host from 1950 to 1956. (March 12, 1921 – March 28, 1989). Nightingale was the author of the Strangest Secret, which economist Terry Savage has called “…One of the great motivational books of all time“.
