Images For Life & Death and the Healing That Follows Both
With some, there is a period during mourning following the death of someone truly significant in our lives, a soul mate, where doubt is cast behind any reason to continue on in this plane without them. An existence in a universe that has the ability to give and take away life in the blink-of-an-eye makes this thinking seem not at all irrational to the mourner.
“I just want things back to the way they were” we think. So the ‘torn’ feeling can stop. The feeling that a piece of us has been ripped away.
However, when we lose a loved one to death, a connection is kept!
Soon we come to understand that they are more a part of us than ever. It can be a lover, a child, best friend, parent or sibling, but the ones that brought solace, understanding and a sense of balance to our lives
communicate with us on levels more significant than touch, sight or sound.
That overwhelming sense of them being near is not imaginary, but a demonstration that they are still among us in phenomenally wondrous ways!
So let us celebrate in the miracle of our beloveds who have passed, transmitting to us the message that unconditional love, peace, beauty and contentment still exist in the world. And so do they.
The following art pieces are dedicated to my beloved, Theodore Eldridge Pritchard. He was my friend, my lover, my confident — my peace.
Shortly after my Ted passed away on September 21, 2001, these designs flowed from me like tears. Over 100 images were generated during the course of a week. The names for each CG piece came instantly to me after each design was created.
Below are 19 of my favorites.
Thank you for always being my sweetest inspiration “Poppa Bear”.
